Resources for Students:

  • ST MATH
ST Math is game-based instructional software for K-12 and is designed to boost math comprehension and proficiency through visual learning.  It includes games and puzzles that become more challenging as a student progresses. Children should attempt the problem and use the visual feedback provided to help them figure out why their answer did or did not work. The feedback provided with each puzzle will help students figure out how to solve the problems.  To watch videos about ST Math and its approach to teaching and learning math, visit the software developer MIND Research Institute’s YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/mindresearch.   Their website:  http://www.mindresearch.org/stmath/

Click here to take you to the ST math site.

  • Khan Academy
According to their site, Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empowers learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.

  • Previously, the Edison K-8 used the First in Math  website.  Please see the Curriculum:  Math page for details on what we are using now.
First in Math is an on-line math program that all students in grades 1-8 have access to. Students earn stickers for solving math  questions, and develop their math skills while having fun! Families are encouraged to allow their students 10 - 20 minutes of "screen time" using First in Math on a daily basis. Once a student earns 500 stickers they receive an additional login that allows a family member to play along.
