Basketball
From the May 2011 Edison K8 School newsletter:
It was a great season for both Edison K8 boys and girls basketball teams.
The girls basketball team had its best season in school history. They worked hard through the regular season and finished a perfect 10-0, and captured the regular season title. Then it was on to the playoffs as the girls won three games in one week in order to advance to the championship game. In the finals, the girls faced the also undefeated Timilty School and lost in a great game. Congratulations to the girls team for a 14-1 season and second place in the city.
The boys team finished the regular season with a record 9-1 and for the second year in a row won the regular season title. Led by a strong group of 8th graders, coach Watson had another strong squad heading into the playoffs. However, it was not meant to be as the boys lost in round one to McCormack School. Congratulations to the boys on a great season.
