School Uniform Policy
When the Edison K8 School formed in 2009, incoming parents and staff decided to adopt a mandatory school uniform for all grades.
The school uniform is a navy blue shirt (short-sleeve or long-sleeve) with the name of the school printed in white on the front. The design of the t-shirt changed for the 2011-2012 school year (see picture at right), but students may continue to wear all shirts from previous years.
There is an alternate version that lists the school's 5R's; this shirt is awarded to students for special recognition. The eighth grade students are allowed to design a class shirt that can be worn instead of the navy blue uniform. Sweatshirts are also available for the colder months.
School uniform shirts are available for purchase from Mr. Felix:
The school uniform shirt should be worn as the outer layer of clothing. Outer garments should be stored in the student's locker or in-class cubby during the school day.
