School Cafeteria
The Edison K8 School has a cafeteria with two separate seating areas -- one for the younger students and the other for the older students.
The cafeteria is located on the lower floor.
Free breakfast is available for all students. In the morning, arriving students are directed downstairs to the cafeteria in order to be offered a breakfast. When school buses arrive late, students are still given the opportunity to pick up breakfast before heading to their classroom.
A hot school lunch is provided each day. Lower-income families can qualify for reduced or free lunch. Application forms are provided to all students at the beginning of the school year.
Half the students eat lunch first and then have outdoor recess. The other half of the students have outdoor recess first and then eat lunch.
Adult lunchroom monitors are present in the cafeteria during lunch time.
